Biography: 

Serge Miranda is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis since October 1983. He has defended a thesis at the Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse in 1980 and a Master's thesis at UCLA. He became a exceptional class of universities professors in 2011.
Serge Miranda is the author and co-author of more than 100 research publications. He has published 6 reference books on "databases"

Since 1998, he has managed the Master "MBDS" (Mobiquity, Big Data and Integration of Systems) which he founded as D.U. In 1992-1993. MBDS has been relocated to Morocco, Madagascar, Haiti and Russia.

Serge Miranda was decorated "Chevalier of the Order of Merit" of the Ministry of Industry on 21 March 1998 by Senator Pierre Laffitte, founder of the Technopole of Sophia Antipolis for his activity between higher education and industry.

From December 2009 to June 2011, Serge Miranda was the first president of the UNS DreamIT university partnership foundation, which he created to lead in a multidisciplinary way innovation and research on information services future.

In 2015, Serge Miranda was selected as a scientific expert by a New York law firm (Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP) in a patent dispute over the NFC standard.
